SOMEBODY COMMENTED: “CHARCUTERIE ON STERIODS”. Laurie simply covered her counter with paper and everything was placed. Some things were in dishes, some not. What an easy way to do it! (Of course, it helps to have a granddaughter with Artistic talents to design the table!)
I will say one thing about my family. We really have wonderful parties. I think this one might have been the best ever. I am not going to feature a recipe this time, although there was one dish I especially loved and thought I’d share. In the picture, look at the bright red plate about half way up on the left. It was whipped Mascarpone cheese dropped in a big ball in the middle of the plate (nothing shaped or formed). Then two small jars of pepper jelly were poured over it. (be sure to warm the jelly for 30 seconds in the microwave to make it easier to pour over). serve on crackers or crostini.
‘Scuse the blurry pic, but here it is….SO fabulous!
Fabulous! Easy!
There’s a fabulous bakery in Tempe, Tracy Dempsey’s Bakery. This Vanilla cake had two fillings: lemon cream and strawberry Campari compote filling. Lemon Buttercream Frosting. Too pretty to cut! (But we did…)Brother and Sister! One of the Servants, hard at work…. Thanks Steven!
Looks like it was a fabulous party! I love pepper jelly on anything!
