DULCE DE LECHE FLUFF BROWNIES another good one from TNT!

img_0544.jpg
Just a few of the great desserts we had at our neighborhood Fiesta.  The brownies, and a wonderful dessert that Kristine brought.   “Sunshine Lemon Pie” which just happens to be a pie I blogged about a year ago.  Look it up in the table of contents dessert section.  She made it from the lemons on her own tree!

DULCE DE LECHE FLUFF BROWNIES

6 oz. unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped

1 cup butter

2 cups sugar

4 eggs, beaten

2 tsp. vanilla

1 – 1/3 cups flour

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

1 – 13.4 oz Dulce de Leche (get it at Walmart and Target)

1 – 7 oz. Marshmallow creme

1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Melt chocolate and butter over low heat till melted (or microwave)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Line a 9×13 pan with foil.  Stir sugar into chocolate.  Add eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition.  Stir in vanilla.  In another bowl, mix together flour and soda, then add chocolate mixture.  Stir in chocolate pieces.  Pour batter into pan, bake 20-25 minutes.  Meanwhile, melt dulce de leche about one minute in microwave.  Remove brownies from oven and immediately spoon marshmallow creme in mounds on top of warm brownies.  Pour de leche in between mounds and swirl around marshmallow mounds to “marble”.  Sprinkle with nuts.  Let set.  Cut into squares.

This is TNT: Terrific Neighbor Toni.  Another great recipe!  see below*

*I realized while writing this post that I misspelled Toni’s name in the cookbook I made from our neighborhood party.  Toni, I apologize!  I am particularly sensitive to name spelling because of the goofy way my name is spelled.  So sorry!
